My trainer Lauren on Skyy, and me on Albert with our Top Ten ribbons. Good ponies!

I'm a wife and mother struggling with health issues. I don't ride anymore. And I'm not sure what my horse future looks like. Stay tuned...

Sherri this is a beautiful and priceless photo! Congratulations!
question!
When did you start wearing your top hat at the lower levels?
I was always told that once you show in a double bridle, you're allowed to show in a top hat, regardless of level... curious as to your opinion?
Thanks Marnie!
Scarlett - I use wear my helmet at the lower levels even though it would be acceptable for me to wear my top hat. Unless I was at a big show, like Nationals. Then I wore my top hat at the lower levels, unless it was raining. Then I wore the helmet so my top hat didn't get ruined. You can see in a new of those Nationals pictures that I have my helmet on due to the rain. But then the rain stopped and I wore the top hat for the awards ceremony.
Since Courtney King-Dye's accident I'm not sure what my opinion is anymore. I don't know what I'm going to show in next time at the upper levels. At the lower levels it will be a helmet. You'll notice that in my class with Skyy I wore my helemt even though it was NOT raining. I think it was a wise decision.
