Kaswyn says...

There are burrs in the pasture. Did you know?

Here is a close up of the train wreck that was his forelock.

I've pulled burrs out of his forelock at least six times already. At this rate he won't have a forelock left by the time the snow hits the ground and the burrs are all gone. Ah well, at least he's enjoying himself outside.

No update yet on the other situation. I'm really hoping to have more info in the next five days or so. *sigh*

Sherri, somebody at my barn said that if you spray the burr-filled mane/forelock/tail with cooking spray that they come right out. I haven't tried it yet but they said it works great!

Holy cow! Okay, I'm thinking somebody's been playing beauty parlor in the pasture. *laugh* Kaswyn's forelock updo definitely trumps Taya's little tumbleweed wannabee this week ;o)

Sugar does the same thing!!! Gets them all in her forelock.

I think he's trying to tell you that he wants to be a unicorn for Halloween!

Ick! Burrs are bad! Cowboy magic is a girls best friend in a situation like that! (also is a girl's best friend when both my horses love to lay down in the shavings filled stalls - and always come out covered in shavings. Forelock to tail, I don't know how they do it!!!)

I think it looks like a sculpture, and is quite dramatic.

My friend said WD-40 helps them slide right out.
