My trainer has me try to remember to tip my pelvis ever so slightly up and then I try to imagine not letting any soup spill out of it - not a big tip, just enough to engage my core. She also has me try take deep breaths into my butt and imagine it being pulled to the ground - which then ends up with me sitting more straight. I've been trying to sit like that when not riding too and to walk like that- I'm sure in my exaggerated attempts as I get used to better posture I look pretty weird doing that in public :)Urbancowgrrlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15860022294549771879noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28335578.post-943328743698083232011-10-23T21:26:45.179-05:002011-10-23T21:26:45.179-05:00I found this very inspirational and was able to ap...I found this very inspirational and was able to apply this in my lesson today. I like having simple little mantras like that - so much easier than over-thinking every little muscle.Kerrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15726412855366387041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28335578.post-34231990770840162482011-10-23T04:25:30.732-05:002011-10-23T04:25:30.732-05:00I have been trying to improve my seat by riding wi...I have been trying to improve my seat by riding without stirrups and the next day I can really feel it in my muscles! As a recovering hunter rider, the whole "sit back" thing sort of dies when I post... Next time I ride you bet I'll be fighting hard for that seat ;)

p.s.
