I had planned on majoring in bio, but since I have changed my goals. I'm looking into a horse related career, and working part time as a receptionist. It was really interesting to read your story, and see how you make it all work. It sounds like you do a fine job at the balancing act.GraceEquestrianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00169642107766085228noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28335578.post-71972761323727261892010-07-22T06:59:40.924-05:002010-07-22T06:59:40.924-05:00I really like your stories. I did not yet have my own horse and my barn did not have an indoor. Once the days became longer I realized that I was not going to be able to ride except on the weekends. I was also at the mercy of my trainer's full time job, so needless to say, the window of opportunity to ride was extremely small. It was the worst Catch 22: I finally had some money, but no time!

Thank goodness I had the opportunity to go back to school and become a science teacher. Now THIS job I love and I can find time to do what I love, but not without a supportive husband in the wings. My company had a round of layoffs last week and my first paniced thoughts were how could I find a job that will pay for the horse! Fortunately, I'm safe this go round.

AnnAnnLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18302520885355984852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28335578.post-58815599285831609162008-08-01T19:06:00.000-05:002008-08-01T19:06:00.000-05:00Your job seems very interesting and rewarding. In the meantime keep buying those lottery tickets, you never know.Grey Horse Mattershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05837575441967937196noreply@blogger.com
